Lottery Syndicates

The Lottery Act does not prohibit the creation of lottery syndicates for authorised lottery and betting activities in Switzerland. Such syndicates are not therefore in themselves illegal.

However, Comlot warns any gamblers of the risks of commercial lottery syndicates. Past experience has shown that participants in lottery syndicates are often overcharged. A close examination by the Lottery and Betting Board of operators' conditions has revealed gross imbalances between input (stakes) and output (winnings).
